The Factory Buildings
Cromarty's factory buildings are the remanant of a non-mechanised 'manufactory' which once gave emplyment to more people than live in Cromarty today.
It produced a rough hemp cloth for bags and sacks, used for trade in cotton and coffe with the Caribbean and North America.
